Rathbun’s (112 Krog St., 404-524-8280) new 2011 cooking classes are able to be purchased on October 1st by calling the restaurant. Rathbun’s interactive cooking class takes you to the heart of the kitchen. Guests experience the reality of the cooking by preparing the ingredients and making each dish from scratch.

Four teams of three people create their dishes from scratch, and then return at the end with their guest for a complete dinner with wine pairings. Each team will then prepare their dinner and then sit down to dine on their accomplishments. Classes begin at 1:30 and go to 4:30. At 4:30, your guest arrives and you begin serving them appetizers and wine pairings. Dinner then begins at 5:00 p.m. and ends at about 7:00 p.m.

Cost is $350.00 per person per class. Classes are non-refundable; however, the gift card is a cash value so you can use it at one of our restaurants. Classes may be sold out one year in advance and all classes are reserved in advance. Rathbun’s try their hardest to not change the class dates; however, it may happen. The classes include: Japanese, Rathbun’s Classics, Spanish Festival, New England Lobster Bake, Farm to Table, and Southwestern.

Only 15 spots are available for each class. All classes are sold on a first come first serve basis and are paid at the time of purchase. Call as soon as you can because these classes sell out quickly! For more information on Rathbun’s 2011 Cooking Classes, visit www.rathbunsrestaurant.com/cookingclasses2.htm
