Fifth Group Restaurants announced today that they will open a new Mexican spot Downtown in the former Il Mulino space at One Ninety One Peachtree Tower. According to the press release:

The new restaurant will offer a menu of authentic Tex-Mex and Mexican-inspired dishes for lunch and dinner, as well as provide catering services to the downtown Atlanta area. Ai3 and Bill Peace of Peace Design, both of which have designed many of Atlanta’s most acclaimed restaurants, will design the 5,200-square-foot space. The restaurant which will seat 195 guests will offer traditional dining room seating as well as two distinct bar areas with large booths and communal tables and will extend well into the building’s atrium.

The restaurant is scheduled for a Fall 2011 opening. This will be the sixth Atlanta-area restaurant for Fifth Group, in addition to their catering group, Bold American.
