On Mon., May 2 we said that Cakes and Ale would be hosting its monthly Sunday Supper on May 8, but we have been informed that the restaurant will be unable to hold the dinner because they will be participating in the Georgia Organics Conference

Atlanta Street Food Coalition: Thursdays 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.: Street Food Thursdays. Restaurants from around Atlanta including King of Pops, Souper Jenny and Yum Yum Cupcake will serve street food each week. Peachtree Street (outside the Woodruff Arts Center and at the corner of 10th & Peachtree).

Smoke on the Lake BBQ Festival Fri., May 6 4 p.m. - Sat., May 7 6:30 p.m. The competition is set up as a backyard barbecue competition and will also feature BBQ vendors. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Acworth, the event will feature live music, a kid's area, and a Sweetwater Beer Garden. Cauble Park, Acworth.

The Grande at Kennesaw Fri., May 6 6-10 p.m.: Cobb Children’s Theatre “Evening of Dreams” Dinner and Auction. The evening will include dinner,entertainment, and both a silent and live auction. Of course, Sunday is Mother's Day.
