Midtown Patch is reporting that El Escorpion, Riccardo Ullio's Mexican/Tequila bar concept in the old Eno location, is set to open next week. A drive-by last night revealed a space that didn't look like it was about to open, so I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Beginning this Sunday, Cafe Jonah - the brainchild of Souper Jenny’s Jennifer Levison - will launch a “Pay What You Want” weekly brunch, where patrons pay what they think the brunch is worth. The brunch menu will feature a buffet with a large selection of fresh and homemade salads, fruit, local egg frittatas, pastries, oatmeal, mini panini, sweets, gourmet coffee, teas and more. 10 percent of each Sunday’s collection to the Atlanta Center for Self Sufficiency whose mission is to help homeless men and women achieve self sufficiency. Cafe Jonah’s brunch buffet is served from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays.

Wild Heaven Craft Beers, brewed in Decatur, are now available in bottles. Both Invocation Belgian-style Golden Ale and Ode to Mercy Imperial Brown Ale will be made available in 12 ounce, 4-pack bottles. The beer will be sold at most local shops beginning this week, including intown Whole Foods locations.
Yoforia at Perimeter Pointe opens today. Check it out between 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. this evening and get a free 16 oz. Yoforia. Perimeter Pointe Shopping Center is located at Abernathy and Mount Vernon Highway. Yorforia has seven other Atlanta-area locations, with six more listed as "coming soon," including Buckhead, Midtown and Sandy Springs.
In a fun summer promotion, Spice Market at the W Atlanta Midtown will offer “The 90 Degree Freeze.” The restaurant will be giving away complimentary ice cream with a $5 minimum purchase when temperatures reach or exceed 90 degrees during June, July and August. So you can’t quibble over details, they set forth The Weather Channel as the official temperature gauge.
