Big Tex Cantina, the new Decatur venture from Fox Brothers, gave would-be diners something to drool over when they posted pictures of their planned menu items on Facebook. They held a pre-party this week and plan to officially open for business this afternoon.
*Correction: Though they held a friends and family event this week, Big Tex will be opening next Friday. Guess we got a little too excited!*

One Eared Stag is now open for lunch. The Inman Park restaurant plans to start dinner service early next week.

On stage at the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival this morning, Delia Champion and Molly Gunn of Delia's Chicken Sausage Stand said they hope to have retail geared up in store by next month. They'll offer items like their vegan chili, grinder meatballs and - of course - chicken sausages. Also be on the look out for undies stamped with cheeky phrases like "small batch sausage."

Miller Union’s chef de cuisine Justin Burdett will be featured on next week’s Chopped. The episode airs Tuesday, May 24, at 10 p.m. on Food Network.

Trackside has pushed their projected opening date back to June.

Straits is now serving lunch Tuesday - Saturday, with small and large plates ranging from $6 - $8.

Thrillist reports on Scene Cafe, a funky new lounge and hookah bar opening in Midtown. The kitchen, serving Mediterranean small plates, won’t open until next month. For now Scene will open only on Saturdays. Scene Cafe is located on Pine Street near Piedmont (yep, by the homeless shelter).

Ted’s Montana Grill has added new burgers to the menu for the first time in eight years. The new “high-end” flavors include The Canyon Creek Burger — topped with melted cheddar cheese, bacon, diced jalapeños, blackberry jam, and a fried egg over-easy, and The Avalon Burger — topped with melted Gruyère cheese, bleu cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, roasted garlic aioli and baby arugula.

Ippolito's Italian Restaurant will be opening its first "IPP'S Pastaria & Bar" in early July in downtown historic Woodstock. The restaurant will be a more casual version of it’s big brother, still serving pasta and handmade pizzas.
