Alon’s Bakery and Market - Dunwoody Fri., June 17, 6-9 p.m. Sip Suds and Summer The patio party will feature beer from local craft breweries, live entertainment, light appetizers and more. Tickets include a souvenir glass and tasting passport, so guests can try all twelve beer offerings. Featured breweries include Creature Comforts Brewing, Terrapin Beer Co., and more. Must be 21. Local Three Kitchen & Bar Sat., June 18, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Local Three Cooking Class: Mexican With Muss This installment of Local Three’s hands-on cooking classes will cover the summery flavors of Mexico. In addition to straightforward recipes, executive chef Todd Mussman and his crew will teach participants how to add concepts such as seasonality and other techniques to their cooking arsenal. Afterward, sample the dishes created in the class at a private luncheon at the restaurant. Details

Red Hare Brewing Company Sat., June 18, 2-6 p.m. Longest Day Party Red Hare is celebrating the Summer Solstice (also known as the longest day of the year) early this year! Come out to the brewery for the usual beer line up plus special casks made with their new Long Day Lager. This event will also have live music and food trucks on site. Details

Historic Fourth Ward Park Sat., June 18, 4-9 p.m. Atlanta Summer Beer Fest This year, the event’s moved to Historic Fourth Ward Park, just down the street from its former home at the Masquerade. Last year’s brews included local selections from Creature Comforts, Jailhouse Brewing Company, Blue Tarp, Red Hare, Burnt Hickory, Eagle Creek, Fanin, and many more. Enjoy live music and eats from D.B.A. Barbecue, Queen of Cream, Pallookaville, and other local vendors. Beware: There’s no parking at the new venue, so hop into a car service or take MARTA. That’s more responsible on a day of drinking anyway, right? Details
