Omnivore - Gravy Train: No. 246 is open, Bhavesh Patel takes over at Table 1280

No. 246, the long-awaited Drew Belline and Ford Fry collaboration in Decatur, opened this week. The locally driven Italian restaurant is open for lunch and dinner daily. It does not accept reservations.
A few weeks ago, Besha posted that she’d been tipped off to Gary Mennie’s departure from Table 1280. This week, the Midtown restaurant announced that Bhavesh Patel will take on the role of executive chef. Patel comes to Table 1280 from Spice Market.
Oakhurst Market is now open for business, offering a butcher’s counter, local veggies, baked goods, wine, growlers and other upscale grocery items.
Wrecking Bar Brewpub is adding lunch service beginning this weekend. Lunch will be served on weekends only and it opens at noon.
