Brookhaven Park Sat., Oct. 8, 12:30-6 p.m. 5th Annual Brookhaven Chili Cook Off Taste over 75 chili and brunswick stew restaurant and amateur competition teams go head to head in a fun filled cook off. This is a family friendly festival in heart of Brookhaven. There will be live music, a DJ, beer, wine, and other cold beverages for all ages. The park will also had a kid zone and sets of cornhole. A portion of all the proceeds benefits the Atlanta Fundraising Foundation. Details

Turner Field Sat., Oct. 8, 1-6 p.m. Great Atlanta Beer Fest 2016 Atlanta Beer Festivals will host a final beer fest at the Ted featuring 200+ beers, ciders, and a small selection of wines. There will be live music and college football on Turner Field size TVs. Since the Braves have finished their season, guests will be drinking on the field! Details

Venkman’s Sat., Oct. 8, 7 p.m. Venkman’s first anniversary party Venkman’s is commemorating its one-year anniversary with not one but two Yacht Rock Revue shows with a cookout on the Big Green Egg, lawn games, smoked chicken banh mi, and more food and drink specials. Venkman’s will be playing classic Yacht Rock tunes all day until the Yacht Rock Revue guys take the stage for an acoustic show. Following the acoustic set, Venkman’s will turn up the volume for a full-on Yacht Rock Revue celebration. Details
