Many cities - including Alpharetta, Avondale Estates, East Point, Roswell and Sandy Springs - kick off Sunday alcohol sales this weekend. The City of Atlanta has said residents will have to wait until January 1 to buy in Atlanta proper. Under new laws, you’ll still have to wait until 12:30 p.m. on Sundays to get your booze on.

Watershed has officially announced that they will open this spring at The Brookwood. The new location promises lots of parking, private dining space and outdoor seating. Joe Truex will continue to lead the kitchen.

Nawlins in East Atlanta Village is picking up and moving to the Gravity space. The restaurant currently shares a building with My Sister’s Room, but is looking to stay open longer hours by relocating to the new space. Owner Frank Capobianco will serve his first meal in the new space this Sunday at “Nawlins Brunch.”
