Elder Tree Public House coming to East Atlanta

Posted by Laura Horton on Fri, Jan 27, 2012 at 7:04 PM

Blue Frog Cantina
Elder Tree Public House, a new pub serving Irish, English and Scottish cuisine, will open next month in the former Blue Frog Cantina space. Executive Chef Sean Culpepper, formerly the regional chef for Fado, will head the kitchen.

According to Culpepper, there will be a heavy focus on local meats and seasonal local vegetables. Elder Tree will also carry traditional Irish and English sodas, sausages, chips and breads. Keeping with the theme, the restaurant will cater to soccer and rugby fans, and even open early for some English Premier League Matches.

Fantastic! I hope they'll have haggis. I tried it once on a visit to Scotland, just to be brave -- and then I kept eating it because it was delicious.

We ate at here on Saturday night, and the food was wonderful. Good vibe, nice upgrade to your traditional pub scene. Good service!

We had the pleasure of dining at The Elder Tree and it is fantastic! The transformation from the previous restaurant is amazing and the food can't be beat. Be sure to try the crab cakes and lamb sammie. I think it is destined to be a new "hot spot" in Atlanta.
