Get it fried at Las Palmeras and Cardamom Hill

Mmm, fried food. Here are a couple of recent indulgences: Yuca frita from Las Palmeras and sweet-potato croquettes from Cardamom Hill. The yuca is topped with onions in a lemony mojo, while the croquettes are served with a tamarind sauce whose slight sweetness and touch of chilies is tempered by grapefruit slices.

Both are highly crave-able.
