Without further ado, the Pinewood Tippling Room in Decatur will open for the first time tonight at 5 p.m. The restaurant/bar/gastropub will be open for dinner Tues. - Sat., 5 p.m. - 1 a.m.; Sun., 5-10 p.m. Brunch: Saturday & Sunday 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

Expect interesting signature cocktails like the Day That I Die made with Bulleit Rye, fresh lemon, ginger syrup, buckwheat honey syrup, and roasted Ga. pecan tincture, and the Picaresque Morning (Four Roses Yellow Label, pecan and pine nut orgeat, and grated nutmeg.

As for the edibles, Sweet Potato Bombers (phyllo stuffed with sweet potato, créme fraiche, and parmesan), Blackened Shrimp Tamales, and Collard Green Egg Rolls (a throwback to LeRoy's BookHouse days, perhaps?).
