News Update on City Hall's urban farm

In case you missed it, last summer Mayor Kasim Reed announced a competition to help convert a vacant lot across the street from City Hall into an urban farm. Fast forward almost a year, and city officials have narrowed a list of two dozen design proposal submissions to eight. From those eight, "three or four" were presented to Reed.
So what's the news? A design has been selected — but has yet to be released.
According to CL staff writer Thomas Wheatley, "the project...is one of Reed's sustainability initiatives aimed to show Atlantans that fresh, healthy food can be locally grown. Plus, it'll add some much-needed scenery to downtown. But don't expect it to feed the masses."
