Sat., June 16, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Atlanta State Farmers Market (ASFM) will be hosting Georgia Grown Farmers Showcase. The return of the event is the first installment in an effort to increase the consumer retail experience at ASFM and to create awareness of the importance of Georgia's agriculture. Georgia Grown will be featuring Georgia-grown fruits, vegetables, locally-produced meats, cheeses, plants, and flowers.

Agriculture Commissioner Gary W. Black said:

"Agriculture is the biggest industry in our state and this event will utilize the Atlanta State Farmers Market to show that off. Georgia Grown has been revitalized this year and this event is one new effort to revitalize the retail side of the market. Whether you've been before or never visited, this is the perfect opportunity to see what the market is all about."
