'Fifty Shades of Grey' inspired desserts

I'd like to preface this post with sassy-pants CL staff writer Gwynedd Stuart's thoughts on E L James' shocking exercise in erotic fiction, Fifty Shades of Grey. (Dear Gwynedd, Please don't beat me up with words for using 'sassy-pants' as a descriptor. I couldn't think of a better word for like, five minutes, so I gave up. Also, I was tripped up several times spelling your name, but eventually got it right, so you're welcome.)

Here are the things that Stuart found most shocking:

- That it is a book that was written by an adult person, not a seventh grader.
- That literary executives got together and said, "Hey. Let's print millions of copies of this."
- That millions of people are buying those copies. And millions more are being sold digitally.

Later in the post,

Poorly written is an understatement. And "erotica" is too generous. If people are forced to read something else, ANYTHING ELSE - Nora Roberts, V.C. Andrews, Danielle Fucking Steel - because they couldn't get their hands on a copy of "Fifty Shades of Grey," they'll be better off for it.

Despite the bad press, people love this book. And what better way to pay homage to a beloved piece of literary junk food than with real junk food. H/T to Ms. Melysa Martinez for turning us on to this collection of 16 Fifty Shades of Grey inspired desserts. One can only imagine all of the dirty, perverted fates of these once, sweet and innocent confections.
