Events 2012 Peach Jam Mix-off sneak peek

Slow Food Atlanta's 2nd Annual Peach Jam kicks off this week at the East Atlanta Village Farmers Market. First up on the agenda: The Peach Cocktail Contest, an iron-chef style mix-off featuring some of Atlanta's best bartenders. This Thursday, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., bar keeps will serve up their own peach cocktails hoping to earn the title of "Best Cocktail."
Guests will be able to purchase last years' winning drinks and sample the competitors' drinks on the spot. In addition to a spread of Farm Burger Sliders, Terrapin Beer Company will serve pours from a refreshing peach beer cask. Judges include owner of H. Harper Station Jerry Slater and Miles Macquarie from Leon's Full Service.
