Barry Becher, the pioneer and marketing mastermind behind Ginsu knives has passed away at the age of 71. Becher, who has been fighting kidney cancer, died Friday after complications from a surgery.

The Ginsu knives were known for being able to slice through tin cans, chop wood, and still be sharp enough to slide a tomato.
