CL visits Flashback: Conversations

We've been dusting off the old archives here at CL, so let's take a trip back to the Decatur dining scene circa 1985 — apparently it was a culinary hot spot long before the likes of Cakes and Ale and No. 246. (click to zoom)

...day, don't hesitate to order the rack of lamb persille. Four tender chops topped with a bearnaise sauce make this the speciality of the house. ($7.50). Besides the daily-changing quiche are the fresh selected seafood, priced according to the market.
The quality of food remains above average at this popular restaurant. With a new hotel under construction and a possible arts center in the future, Decatur is the place to try. You will be pleasantly surprised.
