But the best decision I made was pairing that figgy slider (and the other two doughnuts) with an iced "Campesino Mocha" - cold brewed coffee from Café Campesino beans with a bit of chocolate, grated cinnamon, and almond extract. Let's just say the figs were happy. And I was happy. And the squirrels were quietly fuming that any figs got past their grubby little hands.
While the figgy sliders aren't an everyday item, they will be making frequent appearances for the next several weeks until fig season ends (well, California fig season - Revolution does have to import some of these figs due to dwindling local supplies, and bastard squirrels). Revolution was also doing peach sliders and continues to do a strawberry version, too. Check their Facebook page for frequent updates.
