Chef Guy Wong is bringing ramen back to intowners in Old Fourth Ward. Soon, Miso Izakaya will begin serving Wong's painstakingly prepared ramen for lunch Tues.-Fri., 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wong says serving ramen is a lot of work, but he is currently "testing local farmers for the best pork bones," and hopes to have his ramen recipe "ready soon."

Chef Terry Koval is leaving Decatur's Farm Burger for the head chef position at the Wrecking Bar Brewpub. According to Eater, Koval said that "[t]his is a exciting opportunity for me to bring my knowledge of local and sustainable food, and to be able to continue to grow as a chef in this up and coming brew pub."

Woodfire Grill recently announced that Chef Kevin Gillespie will soon leave his post as executive chef. Gillespie, who plans to open a new restaurant in the near future, will be replaced by Woodfire's current chef de cuisine, E.J. Hodgkinson. "I promise I will give more details about the new restaurant soon, but for now some much needed time away," Gillespie said via Facebook.

After only eight months, Bell Street Burritos has closed its West MIdtown location on Howell Mill. A new Bell Street Burritos is in the works, however. Owner Matt Hinton also announced that the the next location of Bell Street Burritos will be at the Irwin Street Market (660 Irwin St.) in Old Fourth Ward.

The site of the original Waffle House, located on East College Ave. in Avondale Estates, will receive an official historical marker from the Georgia Historical Society on Sept. 8. Joe Rogers Sr. and Tom Forkner first started the Waffle House chain, which now has more than 1,600 locations nationwide, in 1955.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports that Monday Night Brewing is planning to open a brewery and tasting room at 670 Trabert Ave. in early 2013.

Chef Suzanne Vizethann of The Hungry Peach plans to open Buttermilk Kitchen, a new breakfast and lunch restaurant, near Chastain Park. Diners can expect a from-scratch menu with offerings like a pork belly BLT, blueberry cobbler stuffed pancakes, and Eggs Benedict with Country Ham, and red eye hollandaise. The restaurant is scheduled to open later this month at 4225 Roswell Road.

Located at 1425B Piedmont Ave., Eclectic Bistro and Bar is now open Tue.-Sun., 11:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Eclectic's menu aims to offer modern twists on traditional European dishes.

What Now, Atlanta reports that Firehouse Subs (860 Peachtree St.) has closed its Midtown store located at the Spire Condominiums.

After more than 30 years of operation, Jagger's Pizza on Briarcliff Road in the Sage Hill Shopping Center has closed. According to Tomorrow's News Today, the pizza joint will soon reopen as Pizza Bella.
