Ahoy! Shiver your tastebuds! Today, Wednesday, is International Talk Like a Pirate Day. As if it's not cool enough just to order your mateys to swab the deck and walk the plank, Krispy Kreme is providing extra-special incentive this year.
If you invade a Krispy Kreme, including the one on Ponce de Leon in Midtown, and squawk like Captain Hook and his colleagues, you'll be treated to a free — yes free! — glazed donut.
But there's more! If you dress in full pirate drag — like Captain Feathersword, for example — you will receive a full dozen donuts. It's like being handed a treasure chest just for showing up. Life is so good today!
