
The Peasant Bistro has announced that in addition to its new partnership with executive chef Shane Devereux, Eric Brown — who worked with Devereux at the Lawrence &mdash has been selected to mind the day-to-day as Devereux's chef de cuisine. Devereux will consult for Peasant restaurants while he remains a partner at the Lawrence.
The Pinewood Tippling Room located in Decatur is now serving lunch, Monday through Friday from noon-2 p.m. The new lunch menu includes sandwiches, salads and soup, as well as side items. All sandwich options include the choice of any side item.
Caja, a gourmet popcorn shop located in the Peachtree Battle Shopping Center is now open. The store will will feature chef-inspired, small batch popcorn handmade daily.
Farm Burger announced that it is set to open its third location in Dunwoody the week of Sept. 24. Chef Todd Hogan will join the Farm Burger culinary team to head up the Dunwoody kitchen and add contribute his own southern-based seasonal touches.
In case you missed it, West & Mill, a new bistro and bar replacing the recently shuttered Swit Bakery is now open. With a focus on "European-inspired dishes in a modern rustic atmosphere," West & Mill is located at 1000 Marietta St.
Taqueria El Vecino reopens after renovations. According to the AJC, "The new space will feature an additional 40 seats and an expanded bar offering three draught beers, additional bottled beers and small batch bourbon and tequila."
What Now, Atlanta reports the planned opening of a 7,000-square-foot tavern named Ink & Elm, in Emory Village. The tavern is expected to open in early winter 2013.
