The Cook's Warehouse Mon., Oct. 8, 7-9 p.m. Simple Abundance Cooking Class. Chef David Bradley's menu will feature the rainbow trout Lure sources from Bramlett Trout Farm and highlights some of the popular ways to serve it restaurant-style. He'll demonstrate how to fillet, roast and smoke trout resulting in a menu of Whole Roasted Trout, Smoked Trout Sandwich, and Smoked Trout Pate. The evening includes wine tastings sponsored by National Distributors and a chance to win tasty door prizes provided by Bella Cucina Artful Foods and Cabot Cheese. Details

Woodfire Grill hosts a special celebration for the release of Kevin Gillespie's new cookbook, Fire in My Belly. Atlanta Wine School Thu., Oct. 11, 7 p.m. Taste Like a Pro Wine Class, Level I. Join the Atlanta Wine School for their Taste like a Pro Wine Class to learn how to sense flavors of wine, what can impede the ability to taste and smell, and what the best methodology is for tasting wine. Guests will enjoy eight tastings of wine, two of which will be tasted blind, along with an assortment of artisanal cheeses, olives, almonds and dark chocolates. Details

Atlanta Botanical Garden Fri., Oct. 12, 6:30 p.m. Oktoberfest Inspired Dinner with Meehan's Public House. Enjoy the full flavors of fall in Atlanta Botanical Garden’s Edible Garden Outdoor Kitchen! On October 12th from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m., executive chef Jordan Wakefield of Meehan’s Public House will craft four dishes each paired with an Oktoberfest Beer. Fresh herbs and vegetables from the garden will balance the richness of the pork in each course. For $49 for members and $54 for non-members, guests will enjoy samplings of chef Jordan’s Beer Braised Homemade Sausage, Pork Osso Bucco and French Toast with Applewood Bacon Ice Cream. Details

Cucina Asellina has joined forces with Georgia's own Wild Heaven Craft Beer to host an unforgettable four-course tasting dinner on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. For just $45, diners have the opportunity to meet Wild Heaven's founder Nick Purdy and consulting brewmaster Eric Johnson and learn about their world-class, award-winning beers. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The St. Regis Atlanta will feature In The Pink Afternoon Tea throughout the month of October, donating a portion of proceeds to organizations supporting breast cancer research. Drawing inspiration from the British expression for "in good condition" or "in good health," the In the Pink Afternoon Tea will showcase a special selection of healthy and antioxidant-rich teas and a cheerful tower of delightfully pink savories and sweet bites. Served daily from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., In The Pink Afternoon Tea will take place in Astor Court - the luxe upper lobby lounge of The St. Regis Atlanta. Details

Buffalo's Cafe Through Oct. 31 Fight Takes Flight. Buffalo' ™s Cafe again teams up with the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University for the third annual Fight Takes Flight campaign. During the month of October, Buffaloâ 's is serving pink chips with their Queso Verde Cheese Dip and Fire Roasted Tomato Salsa appetizers. For each appetizer purchased, $1.00 of the sale will be donated to Winship Cancer Institute. Details

Star Provisions Thu., Oct. 11, 5 p.m. Southern Food Tour. During the tour, we will walk to four different restaurants to get a taste of that restaurants most iconic Southern dish. Each chef will interact with the group to tell their own unique story of what Southern Food means to them. Additionally, each chef will pair a whiskey cocktail from American Spirit Whiskey with their plates. The four participating chefs will be: Adam Evans from The Optimist, Linton Hopkins from Restaurant Eugene, Anne Quatrano from Bacchanalia and Ford Fry from JCT Kitchen. Guests will meet up at the Star Provisions parking lot and we will all take a trolley to the first stop at The Optimist. The trolley will transport the group back to the Star Provisions parking lot where we will meet with the other three chefs and finish up the tour. Details
