Atlantic Realty Partners announced that it will acquire Dante's Down the Hatch to make way for a high rise development. Back in July, owner Dante Stephensen reported that the iconic fondue restaurant was considering closure due to high Fulton County property taxes associated with its Peachtree Road location.
The iconic Little Five Points Pizza (422 Seminole Ave.) has new owners. Last week, Inman Park residents Forrest Briese and his wife, Ana "Lou" Ernst, bought the neighborhood pizza joint for an undisclosed amount.
Following the departure of chef Shane Devereux, the Lawrence has named Jonathan St. Hilaire (formerly of Canoe, Spice, Woodfire Grill, and Bakeshop) as the restaurant's new executive chef. The move marks St. Hilaire first position as a savory chef in more than a decade.
According to a permit filed in Atlanta, chef Kevin Gillespie's new restaurant Gunshow will cost $110,000 to build-out. ai3 Inc. will design the 2,100-square-foot space at 924 Garrett St. in Glenwood Park.
Tongue and Groove's "steampunk lounge" Joint Barroom is now open at 565 Main St. in Lindbergh City Center.
Astor Court at the St. Regis Hotel in Buckhead will now serve dinner in addition to its regular breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea service. Live music will also begin on Friday and Saturday nights. The St. Regis also plans to transform Paces 88 into a new concept, but in the meantime the space will be utilized for private dining, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports.
