Atlanta is in the running for Southern Living magazine's The South's Tastiest Town contest. Cast your vote here, and you'll also be entered for a chance to win $1,500.

From the contest page:

Heritage-minded stars like Linton Hopkins, Steven Satterfield, and Hugh Acheson have put updated Southern traditions on the national map. Global flavors on Buford Highway (Vietnamese, Korean), a wave of new hotspots, and a passionate farmer's market scene (selling everything from seasonal pizzas to paletas) have made Atlanta one of the most exciting food destinations in the country. "More than any other city in the South, Atlanta has the most potential to continually redefine what Southern Cooking is. Expect dishes built on new international and multi-cultural reference points, while honoring the amazing culinary traditions that we have come to love," says Linton Hopkins.

Other cities in the running include Asheville, N.C., Austin, TX, Charleston, S.C., Durham, N.C., Greenville, S.C., Louisville, Ky., Memphis, Tenn., Miami, Fla., and New Orleans, La.
