Faces #3: Riccardo Ullio turns into daddy

I ate at Fritti, still my favorite for pizza, last Friday with friends. Got my usual pizza with arugula and smoked prosciutto. I forced two of my friends to order the calzone - the fried one, not the baked one. They loved it.

I ran into owner Riccardo Ullio and we'd barely shook hands before he pulled out his iPhone to show me his and Selden Beylouni's new infant daughter, Adriana Elouise Ullio (b. Nov. 13, 2012). Is she adorable or what?

As we left, I noticed that a man at a nearby table had piled the outer crusts of his pizza on his plate. I asked him why he didn't eat the best part of the pizza. He explained that he was too full. I envied him. Every time I eat at Fritti, I'm sure I couldn't possibly eat the entire pizza and I always do.

Congrats to Riccardo and Selden for bringing another pizza lover into the world.
