In case you missed it, Kevin Gillespie left his position as executive chef at Woodfire Grill to open a new restaurant, Gunshow. Woodfire's chef de cuisine E.J. Hodgkinson was going to take Gillespie's position, but then left to take the executive chef position at JCT Kitchen. It was rumored that Josh Hopkins, who used to be the chef at Abattoir and more recently at STG Trattoria, would go to Woodfire Grill, but he actually took over the kitchen at White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails. It was announced today that Tyler Williams, who took over Abattoir after Hopkins, has left Abattoir to be executive chef at Woodfire Grill, thus concluding this season of Atlanta chef musical chairs.
No word yet on who will fill the positions at Abattoir and STG Trattoria.
