Chef Mihoko Obunai is heading up a complete kitchen overhaul at Joli Kobe, the Japanese/French fusion bakery and bistro based out of Sandy Springs on Roswell Road. Obunai - along with recently added sous chef Andy Tran (Repast, Serpas) - has been hard at work transforming Joli Kobe’s cafeteria-style menu into a handcrafted, locally sourced operation featuring New American cuisine with Japanese and French influences.

Poncey Highland restaurant HD1 has applied for a permit to allow outdoor rooftop dining. The Atlanta City Council is expected today to consider the proposal, which the city’s Zoning Review Board approved with seven conditions involving noise and lighting, among other issues.
