Q, owner of We Suki Suki, has announced plans to create a small, pan-Asian street-food court inside the Vietnamese takeout shop in East Atlanta Village. The "Asian alley" within We Suki Suki will comprise several modest stalls and cooking spaces where new vendors can prepare various ethnic street-food items for $5 or less.
Former Empire State South sous chef Kyle Jacovino has been named executive chef at Hugh Acehson's Five & Ten restaurant in Athens. H/T Eater.
Korean taco joint OMG Taco (1126 Euclid Ave.) closed last week after a year and a half of operation.
Bhojanic's second location at the Shops Around Lenox is scheduled to open on March 11.
In case you missed it, Monday Night Brewing's Westside brewery and tasting room opened at 670 Trabert Ave. last month. The brewery is now open for tours Mondays, 5:30-7:30 p.m.; Thursdays, 5:30-7:30 p.m.; and Saturdays, 2-4 p.m.
Café Intermezzo Brookwood (1845 Peachtree Road) will close after Valentine's Day weekend, Midtown Patch reports. Intermezzo's newest location in the 12th & Midtown development is slated to open the week of Feb. 18th.
In addition to Café Intermezzo, 12th & Midtown has also added Panera Bread to its restaurant roster, which includes STK, Cucina Asellina, Ri Ra Irish Pub, RA Sushi, Mi Cocina, and Piola. Taco Diner and Tabla are also set to open in the development in 2013.
A second Delia's Chicken Sausage Stand location is slated to open later this year at 881 Marietta Street. Permits have been filed to add a rooftop deck to the Westside space.
According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, The Cheesecake Factory may relocate to Lenox Square Mall. The restaurant would occupy part of the Crate & Barrel space near the Peachtree Road entrance, which will be redesigned to accommodate two new tenants.
The Cookie Studio will close its Decatur location in March and reopen at 30 Pharr Road in the former Fuoco di Napoli space on Apr. 1.
