Bacon Chase honors the gloriously divine food of the gods: bacon. Rejoice along a 5K piggy pilgrimage or 0.05K blitz to the bacon while feasting on savory strips of cracklin’ meat-candy. Celebrate your crowning achievement by toasting your bacon-feasting brethren at the finish line with a bloody mary and boatloads of unlimited bacon in all its meaty majesty. Bacon. Meat candy and justice for all!

The event will be held at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton. Check out the website for details - even if you don’t want to go. It’s punny, funny, and yummy.

Speaking of fundraising, work is proceeding on the new Lost-n-Found shelter for homeless gay young people. The huge house on Juniper Street, in need of renovation, had its first community clean-up last Saturday and plans another this Saturday 10 a.m-4 p.m.

Maybe Garner will make you one if you lend a hand on Saturday. Maybe Pallookaville will make a corn-dog version. Or maybe Paula Deen will rip it off and put the whole thing between two Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
