Drinking feels good. Drinking for charity? Even better. This Saturday, do both at the CL Do Good Pub Crawl. See, each year Creative Loafing partners with Atlanta nonprofits to raise funds for community projects. Each dollar donated is matched (up to $2,500) by Do Good partner the Home Depot Foundation.
This time around, we're partnering with S.E.E.D.S. Global, a group working to rehab abandoned residential spaces and turn them into functional urban farms (DONATE!). We're also working with Sopo Bicycle Cooperative and the Gateway Center to help raise funds so they can continue hooking up the homeless with free bikes and the skills to repair them (DONATE!).
We think it's important to show do-gooders some love, and this time around we've made it real easy for you to show 'em some love, too:
Step 1: Go here and buy a CL Do Good Pub Crawl ticket ($10).
Step 2: After appointing one saintly designated driver, get yourself to Edgewood Avenue this Saturday between 5-10 p.m. and head to one of the fine establishments listed below. (It doesn't really matter where you start because if you do it right, you'll make it to all of them at some point, right? Right.)
Step 3: As you hop from bar to bar, flash your wristband in order to take advantage of the choice food and drink specials below.
Corner Tavern Edgewood: Check in at 5 p.m. to receive your wristband, raffle ticket, and a $2 Goose Island. Your wristband will also get you $3 honey chipotle, pulled chicken, blue cheese crumbles, and chopped bacon tacos.
Sister Louisa's Church of the Living Room and Ping Pong Emporium: Enter to win prizes at the Shaky Knees raffle at 6:30 p.m. along with more Goose Island specials.
Noni's Bar & Deli: Lionel Richie: All The Hits All Night Long Tour ticket raffle at 7:30 p.m., plus
$2 Goose Island bottles
Pizzeria Vesuvius & Speakeasy: Party in the Park VIP ticket raffle at 8:30 p.m. along with $3 moonshine shorties and a $1 Goose Island
Music Room: No cover, CounterPoint raffle at 9:30 p.m., plus a $1 Goose Island beer and $4 Four Roses Bourbon
