A call to the restaurant confirms that chef Todd Richard’s new joint, the Pig & the Pearl, opens today at 11 a.m. in Atlantic Station.

The Pig & the Pearl, co-owned by Richards along with Todd Martin and Cindy Shera (owners of the Shed at Glenwood), is a new smokehouse and seafood concept that serves both lunch and dinner. View the menu here. It’s huge.

There is a selection of both hot and cold apps (kale salad with pork belly “croutons,” pimento cheese croquettes with pickled okra). The smokehouse menu includes pork shoulder, spare ribs, brisket, beef belly “Delmonico” with potato crust, chicken, turkey, duck, salmon, trout, and catfish. There will also be a raw bar with assorted salads and spreads, crudos, and sashimi. The Pig & the Pearl will offer family-size meals that feed up to six people (ordered two days in advance). On the cocktail front you can expect fun punches and updated classics.

And the interior? Says the release:

With whitewashed brick, touches of patina metal and weathered wood, the restaurant is large, seating 160 guests. There is a large central bar area and an inverted outdoor patio for tables. The raw bar will take center stage showing off what’s fresh and available, while the hardwood smoking pits are enclosed outside of the restaurant. The Pig & The Pearl has several private dining options, from cozy nooks to larger, separate areas.

The Pig & the Pearl is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, Sun.-Thurs., 11 a.m.-11 p.m.; Fri.-Sat., 11 a.m.-1 a.m.
