The Cook’s Warehouse, Midtown Mon., April 27, 7-9 p.m. Simple Abundance cooking class Executive chef Martin Pfefferkorn of Polaris is hosting a cooking class to benefit the the Atlanta Community Food Bank. The menu consists of yellow watermelon gazpacho, avocado, cucumber and strawberry salad, sautéed Georgia white shrimp with lobster cream and stone ground grits, and strawberry shortcake. Taqueria del Sol - Westside April 27-May 2 The Giving Taco Chef Eddie Hernandez will be collaborating with The Giving Kitchen board member and local Atlanta chef, Chris Hall for The Giving Taco week. With each taco bought, Taqueria del sol will donate money to The Giving Kitchen. Details

Southbound Thu., April 30, 4-9 p.m. Hops n’ JohnsWorld Water Relief, Wish for WASH, Southbound Restaurant, and Second Self Beer Company are all coming together to raise funds for the lives of children by providing safe water and hygiene education. Guests can enjoy an afternoon of food, beer, and music. Chef Ryan Smith has created a Caribbean-inspired menu with items that include Aranitas, Mini Cuban sandwiches, and more. Details

STK Thu., April 30, 6:30 p.m. STK’s Third Anniversary Celebration To celebrate its third anniversary, STK will host a celebration, dubbed “Bright Lights in the Big City,” where guests will be greeted with street performers before entering the restaurant. The night will also feature tunes by DJ EU, live performances, giveaways, and executive chef Mark Alba’s new spring offerings in addition to STK mainstays. Details

The ticket price will include woodford reserve mint juleps, and other Derby-inspired drinks; a buffet of hot browns, benedictine sandwiches, and more. La Tavola Trattoria Through May 2, 5-11 p.m. Mezzogiorno Sample the flavors of the Mezzogiorno region of Italy with a limited-time a-la-carte menu. La Tavola will celebrate the region’s rustic coastal cuisine with a special menu in addition to many signature dinner plates. Highlights of the Mezzogiorno-inspired menu include almond cavatelli with broccoli rabe pesto, Calabrian chiles and ricotta salata, whole grilled branzino with grilled lemon, arugula and radish and pistachio meringue with fig gelato and honey reduction.
