Last Word Mon., June 15, 6:30-8 p.m Monday Night Raw Gunshow’s Joey Ward and Last Word’s Layla Walk are joining forces to bring you “Monday Night Raw.” Ward and Walk will serve up select raw items, from curds to tartare. Gunshow’s lead bartender Mercedes O’Brien and Last Word’s beverage director will bring you handcrafted cocktails all night. Reservations are suggested. Details.


Campagnolo Mon., June 15, 7:30-9:30 p.m. The Wines of Southern France It’s the final wine class of the series! Kevin O’ Sullivan and Geoff Brewer of Prime Wine & Spirits, are back to introduce you to more international wine. Each class will have a specific focus — a wine region or a season’s best wines — and will feature five accompanying wines. The Campagnolo kitchens will provide three shared plates to accompany the tasting. Details.

Their mission is to reach the lost, rescue those in need and restore the brokenhearted. Cakes and Ale Wed., June 17-July 29, 6-7 p.m. Wine 101 Cakes and Ale sommelier, Melissa has designed a Wine 101 class to teach novices and experts alike about grown-up grape juice. Local Three Kitchen & Bar Thurs., June 18, 6 p.m. Second Self Beer Dinner Local Three is hosting a beer dinner featuring Second Self’s latest brews. The five-course meal will be served on Local Three’s garden patio. Second Self beer architect Jason Santamaria will lead guests through each each course and beer pairing. Menu items include wild king salmon ceviche, braised rabbit, and a ruby paired with Second Self Summer IPA, Red Hop Rye, and Barrel Ages Red Hop Rye. Details.

The Cook’s Warehouse - Midtown Thurs., June 18, 6:30-9:30 p.m. Knife Skills 101 Having solid knife skills are essential for any home cook. This hands-on skills class will cover everything from choosing the right knife to using it the correct way. The class will also address how to select the correct cutting boards, proper care, and knife storage. Details.

The Masquerade Sat., June 20, 4-9 p.m. Atlanta Summer Beer Fest Get ready for beer, beer, and more beer. The 200 plus list of beer selections can be paired up with some of Atlanta’s favorite eats. The ticket includes entry, entertainment, souvenir cup, and all beer samples. Guests will also be able to enjoy games, live music, and fun. Details.

Watershed on Peachtree Sat., June 20, 7-11 a.m. Tour De Chef Chef Zeb Stevenson will guide cyclists throughout the city, stopping at each market to gather fresh local ingredients that participants can later use at home to craft a delicious meal for four. Chef Zeb will show participants how easy it can be to utilize your local markets and farmers to gather ingredients that allow you to create dishes with both flavor and community consciousness. Cathedral of St. Philip Sat., June 20, 12-2 p.m. Slow Food Atlanta’s Ice Cream Social Slow Food Atlanta presents its ninth annual ice cream social. Guests will taste ice creams and sorbets made by local chefs and amateurs. Afterward, guests will vote for their favorite flavor, including a produce category for the best seasonal fruit and vegetable combinations. Participating restaurants include King of Pops, Seven Lamps, di Paolo, and more. Proceeds will benefit the Atlanta chapter of Slow Food International and the Peachtree Road Farmers Market. Details.

Grant Park Sat., June 20, 1-10 p.m. Atlanta Green Fest 2015 Farm2Me and Fight4ATL present the Atlanta Green Fest 2015 at Grant Park, featuring “The Local Maker Shaker,” a showcase of local food makers from across state of Georgia, and live performances on the “Organic Sound” sound stage. Details.

Cook Hall Sun., June 21, 12:30-3 p.m. Father’s Day Tap Takeover On Father’s Day, Cook Hall will partner with Athens-based brewery Creature Comforts for a tap takeover. Beginning at 12:30 p.m., Cook Hall will pour four craft beers exclusively from Creature Comforts. Selections include Athena Berliner, Bibo Pilsner, Reclaimed Rye, and Tropicalia IPA. Cook Hall will be open regular hours on Father’s Day, serving brunch from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. along with an all-day menu and holiday Blackboard specials. Details.

Vino Venue Sun., June 21, 2-4 & 5-7 p.m. Discover the Best of the West Guests will taste wines from California, Oregon, and Washington with foods from Santa Barbara, Puget Sound, Oregon, and Washington. Available wines will include cabernet sauvignon, pinot noir, and chardonnay. Participants can choose between two time slots.
