Kristin and Missy Koefod of 18.21 Bitters are planning to open an eponymous Prohibition-style mocktail shop at Ponce City Market by mid-August. Named after the Constitutional amendments prohibiting the sale of liquor that were enacted and then repealed, Prohibition 18.21 will serve made-to-order mocktails (non-alcoholic cocktails) with fresh bitters, syrups, and shrubs, as well as bottled drinks and will feature a small bar as well as seating for 15 people.

The week of July 13-19, 2015 will mark the observance of the inaugural Georgia Restaurant Week at participating restaurants throughout Georgia. Sponsored by the Georgia Restaurant Association (GRA) and the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD), the culinary event is aimed at increasing awareness about Georgia’s culinary scene and highlighting the state’s unique and varied dining options. The opening of Charleston-based sushi resto O-Ku is set for Thurs., Oct. 1 in Westside Ironworks on Howell Mill Road, ‘’Atlanta magazine reports. O-Ku’s menu will feature a menu similar to its South Carolina sibling with a few additions crafted by an Atlanta sushi chef for the local market. The décor, which will feature exposed brick, oversized chandeliers, lavender banquettes, and a rooftop bar facing the Midtown skyline, will be “a little more sophisticated in design than the Charleston location”.
For its first anniversary, Makan, the Asian-inspired restaurant located in downtown Decatur, is hosting a Hawaiian Summer Luau celebration featuring a pig roast, live music, tap takeovers and more, on Sun., July 26, beginning at 3 p.m.’’
