Looking to counteract the oppressive summer heat? Booze + Ice is a timeless remedy. Chill out in more ways than one with these boozy, frosty sippables recently spotted around town.

PINK LADY: Dry, light, and dangerously drinkable, rosé is basically summertime water. Bartender Jeff Banks at Krog Street Market’s the Luminary found a way to make it even more refreshing and beautiful. Let us introduce the Meghan Royale rosé slushy ($12). She is made of Aperol, a strawberry-balsamic gastrique, lemon, and topped off with a champagne floater. Does a slushy by any other name smell as sweet?

DARK AND STORMY: The Albert’s Stormy Float is a play on Bermuda’s national drink, the Dark and Stormy. Reminiscent of the classic drink, the Float combines dark Gosling’s rum, bitters, lime, and a hit of prickly ginger beer all topped with Atlanta’s own Frozen Pints’ Peach Lambic ice cream. 918 Austin Ave. N.E. 404-872-4990. www.thealbertatlanta.com

SOUTHERN SIPPERS: DBA Barbecue’s rotating cast of spiked slushies are served in Mason jars and pair well with smoked wings and whatever sporting event the joint’s numerous TVs happen to be showing. I’m partial to the spiked rootbeer slushie ($6), root beer vodka swirled with rum and Abita root beer. But I imagine a patio seat on a Sunday evening with DBA’s smoke fried chicken and a Mason jar filled with icy blueberry moonshine lemonade probably wouldn’t suck either. 1190 N. OLD FAITHFUL: Along with the pocket-sized sandwiches at Victory Sandwich Bar, you can order a jelly jar filled with tried-and-true awesomeness: a Jack and Coke slushie (Small: $4; Large: $8). Close your eyes for a sec and it’s like a revisit bike trip to the 7-Eleven for one of those atomic colored self-serve Slurpies. Keep the nostalgia alive with a game of ping pong in the back room of Victory’s Decatur location or make new memories at Victory’s new Inman Park joint. 913 Bernina Ave., 404-963-1742; 340 Church St., Decatur, 404-377-9300. www.vicsandwich.com.

ICE, ICE BABY: Patsry chef Kathleen Miliotis at Davio’s is busy coming up with fruity ice treats to infuse with complementary spirits. Her boozy, semi-frozen granitas ($4) are worth the brain freeze. Recent flavor combos included roasted pineapple with tequila, peach-strawberry tequila, and dark cherry and bourbon strawberry colada. 3500 Peachtree Road N.E. 404-844-4810. www.davios.com/atl
