The Cook’s Warehouse — East Cobb Mon., Sept. 28, 7-9 p.m. Simple Abundance Cooking Class with Chef Linda Harrel of Cibo e Beve Learn how to create a variety of Italian zuppas including Tuscan kale and bean soup, pappa al pomodoro, and a smoked sweet potato soup. Dr. Bombay’s Underwater Tea Party Mon., Sept. 28, 7-9:30 p.m. A Taste of India The quirky Candler Park tea house will serve up an authentic Indian dinner during its monthly event benefiting the Learning Tea’s life scholarship program for impoverished young women in India. Through donations, proceeds from its Darjeeling tea sales, and these monthly dinners, the Learning Tea is able to provide housing, tuition, food, clothing, medical benefits, and more. Details

? Second Self Beer Company Sat., Oct. 3, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. & 2-4 p.m. Second Self’s First Anniversary Second Self is celebrating its first birthday with a party in two shifts. During each shift in the Tasting Room, Second Self will pour 16 brews from the past year, including three variations of the Molè Porter. Pine Street Market’s chef Rusty Bowers will be grilling bites to pair with brews. Great Atlanta Beer Fest guests can show their tickets at Second Self’s door for $5 off anniversary party admission.
