Omnivore - New weekly pop-up launches at Tomo

There’s a new restaurant pop-up in town

?Looking for a new restaurant experience or a new bowl of ramen? Every Sunday beginning October 18, Tomo will become Upper Room, a pop-up restaurant. Helming the kitchen is Andrew Bantung who graduated from the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) and cut his teeth at 3-Michelin starred Le Bernardin and Eleven Madison Park. He is currently the sous chef at American Food and Beverage. Bantung is sourcing whole sides of pork from Grassroots Farms and creating a small menu featuring different cuts and preparations of pork. Ramen and pork buns will be mainstays on the menu while others will come and go as weeks go by. Ramen bowls will be made in-house, including noodles cut by hand with only 50 portions available each night.  Reservations are not accepted for this pop-up. Dinner begins at 6 P.M. and is $25 for a 3-course, family style meal. Tomo is located in Buckhead at 3630 Peachtree Road, suite 140. 770-655-5001. www.tomorestaurant.com.
