??The team behind Midtown’s Baronda and Publik Drafthouse has renovated and revamped the menu at Viaggio Gastro Italian (1355 Clairmont Road) in Decatur. The new menu features traditional dishes such as strozzapreti and pollo Parmigiano, signature pasta dishes, and 10-inch Neapolitan-style pizzas. The new kitchen is helmed by chef de cuisine Mike Prentiss, formerly of The Luminary.

Mix and mingle with the dancers from the cast of WHIM while sipping on ballet-inspired cocktails from beverage manager Eduardo Guzman and noshing on grounded, earthy bites from executive Chef Wesley True.

?This Friday, Oct. 23, the Atlanta Food & Wine Festival and UK-based IWSC are sponsoring Whiskies of the World – a whiskey tasting at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta from 6 to 10 p.m. The event, benefiting the North Atlanta Rotary Foundation, will feature more than 200 expressions of Scotch, Bourbon, Irish, Canadian, and other whiskies from around the world.

?Louis Soon, owner of South Main Kitchen, is opening a new concept: Butcher & Brew. The resto will be a “more approachable” spot next door to South Main Kitchen in February, 2016. Butcher & Brew will feature beer, sports, and gourmet sandwiches with a vintage, ’50s-’60s feel.
