?Chef Deborah VanTrece will stop service at Twisted Soul (314 E Howard Ave.) next Wednesday, Dec. 30. The global soul food chef could not come to an agreement with the current leaseholders and hopes to relocate to another space in Decatur.

?One of Atlanta’s most anticipated upcoming restaurants, The Mercury, is hosting a New Year’s Eve bash in the second floor event space at Ponce City Market from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. There will be live entertainment with food and cocktails from The Mercury, which is slated to open in early 2016.

????For the next 12 weeks, Atlas will display and sell works by local artists, including those by Eric Mack, Lucinda Bunman, P. Seth Thompson, Kelly Kristin Jones, and Benjamin Steele. Chef Christopher Grossman will reveal a new menu as well.

?O-Ku Sushi (1085 Howell Mill Road) opened last week within Westside Ironworks with former Umi chef Jackie Chang at the helm. The Charleston-based concept has a sushi bar and rooftop seating and will serve dishes such as green eggs and hamachi hako with spicy tuna, and corn-coconut soup with crab.
