Waffle House is looking to open its newest location at the forthcoming Glenwood Place mixed-use development (800 Glenwood Ave.) near Grant Park.

After 41 years of giving Atlantans old school Italian cuisine, Alfredo’s (1989 Cheshire Bridge Road N.E.) will close this year. A “high-end” apartment project will take its place, according to the AJC

To honor Staplehouse’s Ryan Hidinger two years after his death and to celebrate SweetWater’s Second Helping IPA, Staplehouse and SweetWater will host a “Kick the Cask” party this Sunday, Jan 10. SweetWater will tap one last cask of the Second Helping IPA before it’s released to the public, and Staplehouse will provide a special menu of small bites.

WSB’s Mark Arum and Café at Pharr’s Johnny Liu are partnering to open a resto at an undisclosed location on Howell Mill Road. The casual, New England-inspired seafood spot, to be named either Lobstah Hut or LuLu, will focus on lobster rolls.

Concentrics Restaurants will “renovate and re-concept” the menus at Lobby at TWELVE Atlantic Station and Room at TWELVE Centennial Park following the sale of the two properties and their rebranding as Marriott Autograph Collection hotels, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
