One Eared Stag’s chef and owner, Robert Phalen, and Twisted Soul’s chef and owner, Deborah VanTrece, are hosting a class 1960s-style lunch in celebration of MLK Day on Monday, Jan. 18. Expect an authentic civil rights era menu along with the era’s prices – around $1.50 per meal. A $35 contribution per diner will be added to each check to benefit the King Center.

The owners of Buckhead’s Marcello’s have leased the former La Tagliatella space (1540 Avenue Place) at Emory Point. The duo plans to open the newest location of their Italian eatery in February, according to Tomorrow’s News Today.

The Schumacher Group has leased space for a seventh Figo Pasta resto in downtown’s Flatiron Building and for a third Sublime Doughnuts at Exchange at Hammond in Sandy Springs.

Tickets are now on sale for Atlanta’s first brunch festival, hosted by the creator of the Atlanta Beer Festival. The Atlanta Brunch Festival will take place on Saturday, March 5 at Historic Old Fourth Ward Park. Brunch lovers can enjoy bloody marys, mimosas, champagne, beer, and wine along brunch favorites, such as pancakes, frittatas, and waffles.

Yogli Mogli and Kale Me Crazy’s Roi Shlomo has bought out Morningside’s I Love Juice Bar (1402 N. Highland Avenue N.E.) in order to open another Kale Me Crazy, reports What Now Atlanta.

Fans of White Oak Pastures can now pick up their fresh goodies on Thursdays at Doguroo (1456 Northside Drive N.W.) from 1 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
