Tap on Ponce will become Ponce City Market’s first liquor store when it opens in a 957-square-foot space across from West Elm, according to What Now Atlanta.

On Monday, Jan. 25, Bhojanic’s Archna Becker will host the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s next Simple Abundance from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at The Cook’s Warehouse – Decatur. Becker will demonstrate how to make non-vegetarian Indian cuisine, including goat curry, kima mutter, puri, and chicken tikka masala. All proceeds benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

Rumor mongering: Sources say that Justin Anthony (Cape Dutch, Biltong Bar) is taking a hard look at the former Coast Seafood & Raw Bar space (111 W. Paces Ferry Road) in Buckhead.

The Fifth Group is opening a Buckhead location of its Mediterranean concept Ecco next to Phipps Plaza. The Buckhead restaurant will open mid-2017 with 240 indoor seats and 50 seats on the patio. The Johnson Studio, the same team that designed the midtown Ecco, will design the Buckhead location to have a different exterior than the midtown location.

ICYMI: “Ramen master” Mihoko Obunai and Concentrics Restaurants are teaming up for Nexto, a ramen house that will open on Ralph McGill Boulevard this spring. Obunai, one of five chefs featured in the first annual Ramen Battle at last fall’s StarChefs International Chefs Congress, previously ran Old Fourth Ward’s Repast, was executive chef at Joli Kobe, and hosted ramen pop-ups at So Ba and The Sound Table.
