pdate: As of June 24, all three locations of Gladys Knight’s Chicken and Waffles have reopened and are operating with regular business hours, reports the AJC. Gladys Knight’s son, Shanga Hankerson, is facing two counts of felony theft.

strong> The Spence has closed. The Concentrics Restaurants’ spot spearheaded by chef Richard Blais closed on June 25 after four years of business. Concentrics President Bob Amick says the group wants to focus on their new concepts, which include Mihoko Obunai’s Nexto, hotels, and concepts in other parts of the country. Concentrics plans to open a new concept at 75 Fifth St. N.W. in the near future.

??Ton Ton, Guy Wong’s highly anticipated ramen joint in Ponce City Market, is now open. Wong announced the June 30 opening date via Instagram.

estside craft brewery Second Self (1317 Logan Circle N.W.) is hosting a grand opening extravaganza from Thurs., July 7, to Mon., July 11, to celebrate its new and improved tasting room. The brewery’s expanded tasting room will have room for 180 guests.

ong-delayed music venue, urban winery, and restaurant, City Winery finally opened at Ponce City Market on June 23. The 26,000-square-foot space features a 125-seat restaurant, a 300-seat concert venue, and a huge outdoor patio.

acksonville, Florida-based chain Metro Diner plans to open its first Atlanta-area location later this year in the former Coldbrew’s Sports Bar & Grill space on Holcomb Bridge Road. The Metro Diner, which will open at the 880 Holcomb retail district, serves items such as Pittsburgh steak salad, featuring “a generous portion of NY Strip Steak” and their “famous” meatloaf plate.
