NOVEMBER 2 FRIDAY

Spoken-word artist Alix Olson (pictured) is considered one of the strongest up-and-coming voices in lesbian and radical feminist circles. She edited the recent anthology WORD WARRIORS: 35 WOMEN LEADERS IN THE SPOKEN WORD REVOLUTION (Seal Press), which features such familiar names as Michelle Tea, Ellen Myles and Patricia Smith. Olson appears at Charis Books & More tonight to help celebrate the shop’s 33rd anniversary, along with Katz of Athens Boys Choir and Karen G of Cliterati. Free. 8 p.m. 1189 Euclid Ave. 404-524-0304. charis.booksense.com.

Hey Popsmart, I'd love it if you told the world of Atlanta about our new blog for Radical Atlantans called "Radlanta!" -- it's basically a resource for events and programs in/around Atlanta that are radical, underground, subversive alternative or different fun and entertainment and politics! http://radlanta.blogspot.com/
