The improv players at Off the Cob want to take some of the madness out of the holiday season by creating a little madness of their own. (Call it fighting fire with fire.) That's the inspiration behind the "ANGST-GIVING" COMEDY FEAST, which hits Aurora Theatre Sat., NOV. 17. The troupe offers a funny take on Thanksgiving, spoofing the season and all its attendant family traditions. Audience members are encouraged to get into the act and provide ideas for the actors. The 5:30 p.m. show is tailored to children aged 4 to 16, allowing them to participate in their own little bedtime stories or slide shows. The 8 p.m. performance lets the grown-ups become cast members in the "Sit-Com" or "A Day in Their Life." $6-$14. 5:30 and 8 p.m. Aurora Theatre, 128 Pike St., Lawrenceville. 678-226-6222. www.offthecobb.com.
