Perhaps one of the most popular images of Russian folk dance, the Nutcracker's Trepak is a balletic version of choreography that can be intensely acrobatic and militaristic. The Russian GEORGIAN STATE DANCE COMPANY, in existence now since Russia was called the U.S.S.R., excels at gravity-defying leaps, feather-light landings and high-speed swirling, all with enough elegance to make a ballerina go "hmmm." A live, onstage orchestra accompanies the troupe at the Mon., NOV. 19, Fox Theatre performance. $35-$40. 8 p.m. 660 Peachtree St. 404-817-8700. www.foxtheatre.org.
