She may arrive Ego Tripping, or the evening may be filled with Black Feeling, Black Talk. It's difficult to know, and even more difficult to pigeonhole the versatile author, activist, poet and professor NIKKI GIOVANNI. The world-renowned wordsmith, recipient of 25 honorary degrees, and a distinguished professor at Virginia Tech, lectures on issues plaguing the black community and signs her latest book of poems, Acolytes, today, FEB. 6, at Emory. Free. 7 p.m. Tull Auditorium, Emory Law School, 1301 Clifton Road. 404-727-4180. www.candler.emory.edu/EVENTS/index.cfm.
