See & Do: Doubt

Since opening off-Broadway in 2004, John Patrick Shanley's DOUBT has been one of the country's most talked-about plays, winning the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and inspiring countless productions nationwide. Alliance Theatre artistic director Susan V. Booth directs the tale of a nun who suspects that a priest has committed a sexual indiscretion in the Bronx in 1964. Continuing Mon., APRIL 7, the cast includes Pamela Nyburg and local actors Donna Biscoe, Cara Mantella and Thomas Piper. Playwright Shanley is most famous for winning the Best Original Screenplay Oscar for Moonstruck, but has also penned terrific plays such as Danny and the Deep Blue Sea. Through May 4. $14-$30.
