Heidi and Tim keep getting older, but the kids stay the same age.

The eighth season of the fashion reality show that just won't die, "Project Runway," premieres next Thursday on Lifetime, and a 2010 SCAD fashion grad will be competing needle-and-thread every week to stay in.

April Johnston, 21, is the youngest of this season's 17 designers (must read "designers" in Tim Gunn voice)—the largest number of contestants in the show's history. The Savannah resident is also the only contestant from the South.

Johnston's senior collection at SCAD was inspired by "deconstructed halls, old asylums and abandoned morgues," and while in fashion school, she was paired with mentor Zac Posen, the cute New York designer trying his darnedest to bridge high and low fashion. That's big time!

Check out a video going through her closet and one of her dark designs below. It's very pretty, but you can just hear Nina Garcia saying it's overworked.

Could this young Georgian be the next Christian Siriano? Only time—and Tim—will tell.
